Father Brian Campbell

Fr. Brian Campbell originally hails from the Midwestern farm lands of Central Illinois – until his parents and grandparents decided to move to the Sunshine State in 1987.

Growing up in the Naples area, he graduated from Lely High School in 1998. He left behind the powdery white sands of the Gulf of Mexico and headed for the Steel Valley hills of Steubenville, Ohio, to attend Franciscan University, graduating in the class of 2002 with a B.A. in Philosophy and Theology. During his time at Franciscan he began to discern a vocation to the priesthood. Upon the invitation of Bishop Sean O’Malley, in 2003, Father followed his calling to ordained ministry as a Catholic Priest for the Diocese of Palm Beach.

During his tenure as a Seminarian, Father had various assignments and received priestly formation at Notre Dame Seminary in New Orleans from 2005-2009, graduating with an M.Div. Some of his summer assignments in seminary included a summer unit of Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) at The Methodist Hospital in Houston, TX (summer of 2007), and a Diaconate internship at Sacred Heart Church in Lake Worth, FL (summer/fall of 2008).

Fr. Campbell was ordained a Catholic priest on May 2, 2009, by Bishop Barbarito at the Cathedral of St. Ignatius Loyola. He has had the honor of serving the people of God in the Diocese of Palm Beach, FL, first at St. Patrick’s Church in Palm Beach Gardens from July of 2009 thru July of 2012 and now in his current assignment at St. Vincent Ferrer Church in Delray Beach. He also has been assigned to be a part time Chaplain at Pope John Paul II High School in Boca Raton.

Fr. Campbell is passionate about pro-life and family issues, religious freedom, engagement in honest ecumenical dialogue, ongoing learning, people, running, boating, travel and …oh yes, good food. Fr. Brian Campbell looks forward to serving the people of St. Vincent Ferrer and Pope John Paull II, discovering with them the Love of God that makes Life worth Living!
